Made By Nike

So excited we finally get to share these photos with you! Back in February the two of us worked on a project with Nike to feature us on their new tumblr. As always when working with the Nike team, there was never a dull moment. This time around we worked with unfamiliar faces but after three long days of working together, the vibe became one of close friends. That's really the best part about all these projects we do. It's meeting people from different places and getting to know them that eases those early mornings followed by a long days work. Missing the whole crew already!
Here are just a few photos but you'll find more along with a video on their tumblr:

Vintage Prints

(Cristy: thrifted blouse and belt/ WCP vintage shorts/ Electric Boutique necklace/ Art Festival ring/ vintage purse/Steve Madden Shoes/vintage glasses)

I've been wearing this thrifted top to death since I bought it two weeks ago. It's been my go to piece whenever I feel like wearing a print or something bright. The other night my too honest friend told me it reminded her of a tacky Hawaiian shirt. I had to laugh because she was so on point.
All the reason to love it more I say.

Fake LA

(Cristy:gifted Fake LA tee/ WCP vintage shorts/ Planet Body bra/ Forever 21 hat and DIY boots/ DIY hook necklace/ Ray Ban Clubmaster sunglasses)

I've always been told that I have a West Coast style. The Cali based brand, Fake LA, sent some tee's last week and I knew they'd have no problem blending in amongst my other clothes. I drifted towards this red top today when getting dressed and fell in love with it's cut. It has this confused length thats a mix between a crop and tank so its perfect for low and high waist shorts. It's nice when you can just throw on a tee and a pair of WCP shorts and walk out the door.

Thanks Fake LA, love em!

Tiger Eyes

(Salvation Army top/ WCP vintage shorts/ vintage belt/ Forever 21 shoes/ Forever 21 and Tiffany's rings/ DIY bracelets)

Spotted these eyes at the only place I shop at lately: The Salvation Army. It's a great satisfaction and a goofy thrill when you find a hidden diamond. What's better than finding a treasure like this amazing tiger print silk top? The price tag adds a little shine to it too. The belts a stolen piece I found a few years back in my moms closet, and use it all the time. I don't understand why people give away some of the things they do... One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Night of Hunters Studded Boots

Woah.. Everything about the Night of Hunters boots from Spell and the Gypsy Collective new post screams DIY.
They're on pre-sale now but I'm leaning towards finding my own cowboy ankle-boots and seeing what I can do with them.
If I'm lucky I'll find a pair my size at a thrift store. Keeping my fingers crossed extra tightly this week.

Yesterday's Jewels

I’ve been living alone for almost a year now and I admit the solitude is refreshing. Aside from the typical downsides of living apart from my family, it’s hard to find someone to take photos when Cristy can't.  I reached desperation today and resorted to a self-timer. I truly don’t know what’s more embarrassing, asking someone to take pictures of me, or admitting I take pictures of myself.
Whatever
After studding a million shorts and cutting my finger for the third time,  I decided it was break time. It wasn’t long until I started entertaining myself with another DIY project. I found a gold hook and a blue rock I bought a while back for reasons I can’t even remember anymore. I tied them to some left over string and voila! Here are yesterday’s jewels.
